Future RSO Course Information:

We are working on options for scheduling future RSO courses. We will post those dates and locations when we have them confirmed. Please check this site in the future for the updates – we will also have a link to the registration page.

If you have a location capable of hosting the RSO program (comparable to a FAS class), please let us know. We are looking for possible locations and teams to help host future courses. Please send suggestions to our registration email box at:    registration@mvsia.org

For those interested in attending future classes...

We will follow the NRA's RSO course outline and schedule completely. While the RSO course is for all disciplines of the shooting sports, we are tailoring the discussions toward the MN Hunter Education Program. The intended participants are DNR certified instructors for the Firearm Safety Program. At this time, we will only be offering this training to NRA members, and you must be 21 years of age or older (NRA requirement). If you are not an NRA member, you may join online here: JOIN NRA

You must have an NRA number prior to attending the RSO class, as that is how we document the course registration and completion. Upon completion of the course the NRA will need you to go to their website, and self-register your certification. While online, you need to pay an additional $30 one-time credentialing fee. Note: if you are already a NRA Instructor, the credentialing fee is $0. This one-time fee is in addition to the course fee paid to MVSIA to cover the cost of participant books and hand-outs. We will provide more information regarding credentialing, class schedule, meal options, etc., to the registered participants.

MVSIA’s policy/disclaimer regarding course offerings:

Due to the uniqueness of each individual’s needs, discussions and decisions regarding accommodations to MVSIA sponsored events will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
